What an action packed weekend it was to be in D.C.! There was a "Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear", the Marine Corps Marathon, and it was Halloween! I don't know exactly what the numbers are but there were A LOT of people in D.C. this past weekend! I think they estimated around 200,000 for the rally and we all know that the MCM has at least 30,000 runners and if you add the spectators, that is A LOT of people! To top it all off it was a gorgeous but chilly weekend!

The rally was great! Funny signs, costumes, traffic light climbers, tree climbers, people of all age groups, and music. We decided to make a sign right before the rally began.

Look at all the people as far as the eye can see...

After fun day on the mall, we had dinner at Jaleo (more about this on my Happy & Full blog post). The next day we were up at 6am to catch the bus from Crystal City to the starting line for the marathon. Of course, we had Starbucks to get our engines running! This year, Sherine decided to run the marathon with Shaun!

When your body tells you to stop; you must listen!

Otherwise...

Just kidding! He is safe and sound.

Our designated meeting spot was at the 10 mile marker. I tried to get Sherine's attention but she zoomed by me. Looking good though! Shaun met me here a little while later and we headed over to the 16 mile marker to see if we could catch a glimpse of Sherine. Luckily this time we were able to stop her and get a picture before she ran off!

Sherine finished the marathon with an awesome time of 4 hours and 14 minutes! YAY Sherine!
