Where can you go for Chinese AND Latin cuisine? Well, Flor De Mayo of course! I can still smell the food as I am writing this post. The minute you walk in the door, the atmosphere is filled with the tantalizing smell of their delicious food. They have a wide variety of Chinese and Latin (in particular, Peruvian) dishes to choose from, how can we chose just one? It makes my mouth water just thinking about the different flavor combinations!
Chicharrones De Pollo Sin Hueso consists of a fried crisp chicken (boneless) served a with a house special fried rice. This is a must order dish, never have I tasted such crisp, juicy, and perfectly seasoned fried chicken breast.
Fried green plantains with garlic sauce.
Fried sweet plantains.
Shrimp with a curry sauce.
I will definitely be back for more! However, there was one thing that really surprised us after our meal; gratuity was already charged on our bill and we only had three people in our party. This really turns me off, even if the service was better than I expected I would be reluctant to give more than the billed gratuity. I wonder what the real reason is behind this? Are more and more restaurants planning to do this? It is called tip or gratuity because it allows the customer the flexibility of giving what they feel is the right amount for the service they receive and that is how it should be. Otherwise, they should call it something else.
